— James and Betty Hart celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary July 18, 2010. Friends Harold and Arnola Noland attended church service with them in Kokomo.
James and the former Betty Fox were married July 18, 1948, at Methodist Church in Anderson by Dr. Bradford. They had met during high school in Anderson, and he proposed to her at a high school dance.
She worked at a furniture store and at East Side Dairy, and he owned Hart Shoes of Indiana.
Their children and Mike and Patty Hart, Upland; Steve and Gail Hart, Kokomo; and Pamela and Byran Barnett, Greentown. They have three grandchildren.
