Dale and Trish Hamacher, Surprise, Ariz., are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Surprise. A family dinner will follow. They will be taking a short trip to Las Vegas to continue the celebration with dining out and taking in a show or two.

Dale and the former Trish Klaus were sweethearts at Rensselaer High School and were married Aug. 25, 1962, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Rensselaer.

Dale spent 34 years in education and retired from Taylor High School in Kokomo as assistant principal. Trish retired from Kokomo-Center School Corp. as fiscal coordinator.

They are enjoying their retirement in Arizona, where their they have one daughter, Beth Geyer, who lives in Anthem, Ariz., with her husband, Jason. Their twin grandchildren are Graham and Ava, who are 7 years old.
