Edward J. and Betty Lewis, Twelve Mile, recently observed their 50th wedding anniversary.
Edward and the former Betty Coffing met on a blind date. They were married Nov. 22, 1962, in Metea Baptist Church, by the Rev. Raymond Sheleton.
She is a self-employed hairdresser at Farmerette Beauty Barn, and he retired from LAU Industries, Rochester, in 2007.
They have one child, Doug Lewis, who is employed by Peak Community Services.
