Larry and Carol Blake

Larry and Carol Blake, Kokomo, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner today and an open house April 20 at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship.

Larry and the former Carol Horton were married Feb. 3, 1963, in First Baptist Church, Kokomo, by the Rev. John Newsome. They were next-door neighbors, and he proposed on a date.

Carol is retired from McDonald’s and restaurant work, and Larry is retired from the City of Kokomo.

Their children are Tamara Roushar, Greentown, Bill Blake, Greenfield, and Tawnya Unger, Lebanon. They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
