Bill and Cherry Degler, Kokomo, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a “soda shop” open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 16 at Celebrations Banquet & Conference facility, 3437 W. Sycamore Road, hosted by their family.
Bill and the former Cherry Snyder were married Sept. 16, 1962, in Judson Baptist Church.
Cherry is retired from Northwestern Schools, where she was a school cook. Bill is self-employed with Degler floorcoverings.
Their children are April and Tony Obermeyer, of Kokomo, April and Carl Degler, of Michigan, and Phil Degler, of Kokomo. They have 10 grandchildren.
