John and the former V. Lynn Knowles were married Feb. 19, 1972, in Jamestown, Tenn.
Their children are Annette and husband Jimmy Brooks, Quincy; John Jones, Kokomo; Jeanette Richmond, Kokomo; Tony Johnson, Rossville; and Jeanne and husband Chris Minor, Ashburn, Va. They have 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with two on the way.
