DeWayne and Karen Richmond

DeWayne and Karen Richmond, Kokomo, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with an autumn trip to Niagara Falls.

DeWayne and the former Karen Cone were married Sept. 2, 1972, in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church by the Rev. Father John Mannion. They were introduced by a mutual friend.

DeWayne retired from Kokomo Chrysler Transmission Plant as a pipefitter and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Karen was a schoolteacher in the Kokomo-Center School Corp. before her retirement.

Their children are Brad and wife Melissa Richmond, Sharpsville, and Brent and wife Melissa Richmond, Kokomo. They have eight grandchildren.
