Walter T. and Elizabeth Bray celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house with family and friends at Bradford Run Club House.
Walter and the former Elizabeth Gill were married Aug. 11, 1945, in Madison. They grew up together, then later ran away and got married. She has been a housewife all her life, and he is retired from construction.
The couple has nine children, Louise and husband Max Brumfiel, Kokomo; Walter Jr. and wife Brenda Bray, Pickard; Louis and wife Tereasa Bray, Kentucky; Carla and husband Paul Hamblin, Macy; Michael and wife Karen Bray, Kirklin; John and wife Teresa Bray, Kokomo; Daniel and wife Sonja Bray, Center; Barbara and husband Lewis Campbell, Kokomo; and Mary and husband Andrew Kemper, Kokomo. They have 38 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
