David and Mary Barnes will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary with a family cookout at a later date.
David and the former Mary Bogie were marred Aug. 23, 1975, at United Methodist Church in Davis, Ill.
She is a homemaker, and he is a teacher at Kokomo-Center Schools.
Their children are Jacob, Round Rock, Texas; Travis, Westfield; Zachary, Kokomo; and Nicklus, Bloomington. They have four grandchildren.
