Boil advisory issued for Indian Heights

Kokomo — Indiana American Water’s Kokomo District issued a precautionary boil water advisory Tuesday for approximately 1,500 customers in the Indian Heights subdivision.

Customers in the affected area are advised to drink and cook with tap water only after boiling for 5 minutes. Tap water can be used for washing and bathing, the company said.

Boil advisories usually last 18 to 24 hours. Customers are requested to honor the boil advisory until further notice.
