IU Kokomo police warn of scam

Officials at Indiana University Kokomo are alerting the community to a possible scam of persons posing as students soliciting money for a university-sponsored trip.

Phone calls to the university indicate persons are going door-to-door seeking donations for a student trip to Hawaii. There is no such trip planned, and anyone who is approached should contact their local law enforcement agency and not give the solicitor any money.

IU Kokomo does not support door-to-door solicitations, and anyone doing so is in violation of university policies.
