Power outages shut down city's east side

Kokomo — After an evening of high winds and a sleet/show mixture, the area east of U.S. 31 is experiencing wide-spread power outages. The outage has significantly affected traffic as the light is out at U.S. 31 and Markland Avenue.

According to Duke Energy, there are 6,503 people without power in Howard County.
