Police reports - Friday, May 9, 2008

Howard County arrests

Wednesday, 11:50 a.m., police arrested a 14-year-old female at Lafayette Park School, 919 N. Korby St., on a charge of truancy.

Wednesday, 1:23 p.m., police arrested Roger A. Lawson, 38, 1500 block of South Plate Street, in the 1300 block of South Home Avenue, on a charge of domestic violence battery.

Wednesday, 1:37 p.m., police arrested a 16-year-old male at Wal-Mart, 1920 E. Markland Ave., on a charge of conversion.

Wednesday, 4:26 p.m., police arrested Giavaunte Nelson, 29, 2500 block of North Webster Street, at Gano and Buckeye streets, on a charge of driving while suspended.

Wednesday, 5:10 p.m., police arrested Prince L. Patterson, 25, 400 block of South Union Street, at Wal-Mart, 1920 E. Markland Ave., on a theft charge.

Wednesday, 7:19 p.m., police arrested Antionette M. Horne, 25, 900 block of East Vaile Avenue, at Union and Walnut streets, on a charge of driving while suspended.

Wednesday, 7:35 p.m., police arrested Ronald Abney, 48, 600 block of East Fisher Street, at that residence, on a charge of invasion of privacy.

Wednesday, 11:58 p.m., police arrested Michelle R. Copeland, 41, 2400 block of North Jay Street, at Gano Street and Apperson Way, on a warrant for neglect of a dependent.

Thursday, 1:41 a.m., police arrested Jerry Hicks, 35, 1300 block of East Murden Street, at Apperson Way and Virginia Avenue, on a warrant for failure to appear.

Thursday, 3:35 a.m., police arrested John F. Hozey, 40, 200 block of West Virginia Avenue, in the 1200 block of South Armstrong Street, on a charge of public intoxication.

Thefts

Wednesday, 9 a.m., a resident of the 400 block of West Mulberry Street reported the theft of a 1992 black Jeep Wrangler from that residence.

Wednesday, 12:35 p.m., a resident of the 800 E. Hoffer St., reported the theft of cash.

Wednesday, 2:58 p.m., Safe Guard Properties, Ohio, reported the theft of an air conditioning unit, copper tubing and heating ducts valued at $7,200 from a residence in the 800 block of West Monroe Street.

Wednesday, 2:59 p.m., a resident of the 1400 block of North McCann Street, reported the theft of a pair of prescription glasses, a back pack, a hunting knife, a Range finder and a Turkey caller valued at $1,400 from a vehicle.
