Police reports - Tuesday Dec. 2, 2008

Police investigating armed robbery

Kokomo police investigating an armed robbery of a man in the 400 block of West Mulberry Street Tuesday morning.

Officers reported that a black male armed with a handgun robbed a man at that residence shortly after 10 a.m. and ran from the residence in an alley. Police quickly converged on the area and interviewed several potential witnesses.

As of noon, no arrests were made.

Howard County

Arrests

Monday, 3:05 a.m., police arrested Christopher VanWinkle Jr., 29, 200 block of East Lordeman Street, at that residence, on charges of intimidation and resisting law enforcement.

Monday, 8:32 p.m., police arrested Brian J. Cheek, 31, 4700 block of Brookhaven Drive, in the 200 block of West Spraker Street, on a warrant for failure to appear for fees hearing.

Tuesday, 1:56 a.m., police arrested Adam W. Jones, 20, 1300 block of South 17th Street, at Bed, Bath and Beyond, 1411 S. Reed Road, on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol

Tuesday, 2:-03 a.m., police arrested Heather R. Forrey, 32, 700 block of South Market Street, at Plate Street and Appletree Lane, on a charge of driving while suspended.



Thefts

Monday, 7:48 a.m., the theft of 30 Christmas decorations was reported from a yard in the 2500 block of Apperson Way North.

Monday, 12:50 p.m., the theft of $1,250 worth of household items and furniture was reported stolen from the 300 block of South Union Street.

Monday, 1:15 p.m., the theft of an Alpine CD player and 100 DVD’s was reported from a vehicle in the 1000 block of South Indiana Avenue.
