Redeemer church warns of scam

Officials from Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer say someone not affiliated with their church is raising money in their name.

Church leaders received a call this week from a person who said a 15-year-old male was selling candy and saying he was raising money for the church, back in September.

Nobody from the church or its school, Redeemer Lutheran School, were selling candy.

Church officials said anyone approached to give money or buy products to support its projects may call the church at 765-453-0969 to confirm the person represents the church.
