Full-service pet care facility coming soon

Always About Pets will open Monday on Dixon Road

Always About Pets, a full-service pet care facility at 1058 S. Dixon Road, is opening its doors Monday. An open house will be 1 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Services include grooming, boarding, pick-up and drop-off, and in-home pet care. In the future, basic obedience classes will be offered.

Dog boarding “suites” are offered in sizes ranging from 4 feet by 5 feet to 4 feet by 12 feet. Each is 8 feet tall and is dry-walled on three sides, the fourth side being a gate. Each “suite” will be designed with a theme and comes complete with a pet “pod” bed and bedding. Or, if your pet would be more comfortable, owners can bring in their own pet bedding. Extra blankets will also be provided. Dogs have a small indoor area to stretch their legs as well as a walking area in back of the facility. Dogs are taken out several times a day and are given individual attention.

Owners Hope and Charity Hotsinpiller are sisters who both share the love of pets. Hotsinpiller graduated from a professional dog grooming school and has two years’ experience in canine training. Hope holds an associate degree in accounting/finance and has more 20 years of experience in that field. She has also successfully completed a pet sitting course.

“We want to set ourselves apart from other pet-care service facilities that offer only one or two services and provide a cage/crate-only environment,” Hotsinpiller said in a press release.

“We pride ourselves in putting pets’ needs first as well as meeting the customer’s needs. Our mission is to offer superior, reliable and personal pet care either in the comfort of your own home or in our friendly, safe and controlled environment. Owners can have total peace of mind knowing their pets are in a loving, caring and playful environment while they are away.”

Business hours for grooming and bookings are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day except Wednesday and Sunday, when they are closed. However, in-home pet care and boarding services are offered seven days a week.
