Eastern fine arts team places at state contest

The Eastern High School fine arts team placed third in its class at the state contest. The team qualified for state by scoring highest at the regional at Western High School.

Out of 300 teams that start in the state only 96 end up at the state to compete with their enrollment class.

Also, all of Eastern’s Academic Bowl team was awarded the overall “Top 10” award for their enrollment class. This honor is based on the cumulative scores that the team achieved during all the rounds at the regional competition. There are only 40 schools that receive this recognition statewide.
