Northwestern HS cheerleaders win camp awards

The Northwestern varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders recently won the top awards at the UCA camp they attended at Anderson University.

The squads were awarded first place in the cheer division and the extreme routine dance division. These awards earned the squad an invitation to cheer at the pregame show of the Capital One Bowl in Orlando.

The squads received superior recognition for their home dance routine. They also received a spirit stick to bring home for the week.

The squads also received the leadership award, which is voted on by those attending the camp. It is given to the squad showing good leadership skills, school spirit, friendliness to the other teams and a great attitude.

Varsity members Mollie Daily and Emily Wallace and junior varsity members Amber Miller and Brielle Miller were selected as All American cheerleaders by the UCA staff.
