Children in kindergarten through sixth-grades at Howard Elementary celebrated the last day of school with a Wacky Olympics.
Each grade level participated in six relays, including a tug of war, a wheelbarrow race, a snow cone relay, a three-legged race, a shoe race, and a bean sack race. The sixth-graders also participated in a water balloon toss.
The Howard PTO provided popsicles for the children as a snack to cool down afterwards.

The Northwestern High School Theater Troupe will host a dinner theater performance Thursday.
The Lafayette Park Elementary Opening Knights will present “A Gingerbread Christmas” at 7 p.m. Thursday in the school auditorium. Tickets are free.

The Maconaquah Fine and Performing Arts Foundation will host its first event, “An Evening with DaVinci and Company,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9 at Maconaquah Elementary School.
