Chocolate Celebration finds new location

Chocaholics, Samaritan Caregivers is giving you a reason to indulge in rich, delicious chocolate as the 10th annual Chocolate Celebration finds a new home at First Church of the Nazarene today.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, the church will be a chocolate-lover’s paradise, with offerings from local restaurants, caterers and connoisseurs.

From avalanches of chocolate fudge to molten chocolate cakes to gooey chocolate pies, it’s all there for the tasting.

Tickets are two for $5, and each ticket may be redeemed for one chocolate treat.

A panel of judges — including [friday]’s resident sweet tooth Erin Shultz — will taste test all the entries and crown a winner.

The event is one of the largest fundraisers for Samaritan Caregivers, which provides non-medical help to residents of Howard County, enabling them to maintain their independence.

I told this to a friend, and he said “I know. It’s called a house. You’re a girl. Pretty much all of it is ‘yours.’” Well, yes and no.
