Chocolate Celebration finds new location
Chocaholics, Samaritan Caregivers is giving you a reason to indulge in rich, delicious chocolate as the 10th annual Chocolate Celebration finds a new home at First Church of the Nazarene today.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, the church will be a chocolate-lover’s paradise, with offerings from local restaurants, caterers and connoisseurs.
From avalanches of chocolate fudge to molten chocolate cakes to gooey chocolate pies, it’s all there for the tasting.
Tickets are two for $5, and each ticket may be redeemed for one chocolate treat.
A panel of judges — including [friday]’s resident sweet tooth Erin Shultz — will taste test all the entries and crown a winner.
The event is one of the largest fundraisers for Samaritan Caregivers, which provides non-medical help to residents of Howard County, enabling them to maintain their independence.

Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance at Celebrations
Fathers and daughters, there’s an event just for you this weekend as the annual Father Daughter Sweetheart Ball returns to Celebrations Banquet Facility Saturday.
Fathers and daughters of all ages can head out to Celebrations for a delicious dinner, dance lesson, craft time for girls and the crowning of the 2012 prince and princess — complete with a photo opportunity.
