A month ago, U.S. Army Spc. Anthony Walton fell backward on the driveway of his mother’s home, causing him to be flown to Indianapolis by helicopter, where he was put in a medically induced coma. On Dec. 4, he underwent surgery to remove part of his skull to reduce swelling of his brain. Since then, Walton has been making a remarkable recovery. Last Friday, he was moved to the VA Hospital in Indianapolis where he is undergoing rehabilitation. Doctors anticipate Walton will be able to go home soon.

Hitting the road
According to a survey released by AAA Travel, 38 percent of travelers indicated high gas prices impacted whether they would travel this weekend or not.
