SLIDE SHOW: Corn Detasseling

With hot weather comes another annual moment. When hundreds of high school age children 13-18 years old spread across thousands of acres of cornfields to detassel stalks. Hot, sweaty work that ends with dirty, tired teenagers with a nice paycheck to show for the effort put forth. Follow along as workers spread out through one Tipton County field on a recent morning.
