Kokomo police have received numerous tips regarding the recent bank robberies, but have not made any arrests.
Det. Doug Stout said police are continuing to follow up all leads that come in.
Since the robberies, patrol officers also have been conducting directed patrols around area banks.
Police are not sure if the three robberies were committed by the same person or persons, but the description in two of the three are similar.
On Dec. 28, the Star Financial Bank, 1718 E. Markland Ave., was hit shortly after 10 a.m. The suspect may have been armed, but did not display a weapon.
He was described as a white male in his 40s wearing a blue hooded zip-up jacket on top of a thin green-colored jacket.
The man was also wearing blue jeans. a green baseball-style cap and had a mask covering his face that made him look older, according to police.
Less than a week later, police were called to two more holdups Jan. 3 — one at 11:09 a.m. at Kokomo Heritage Credit Union, 901 S. Courtland Ave., and one at 4:34 p.m. at Regions Bank, 3545 S. Lafountain St.
In those two robberies, the suspect was described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, standing approximately 6 feet tall wearing a dark-hooded jacket, blue jeans with a gray scarf covering his face. Police also said in both robberies, the man was armed with a dark-colored handgun.
No injuries were reported.
At each business, the robber fled before police arrived.
Detectives released surveillance photos from the Regions Bank robbery and Kokomo Heritage Credit Union in hopes someone will recognize him. Police also obtained an outside surveillance video from Marsh showing the suspect leaving the area in a dark-colored Chrysler minivan.
