Kokomo police are continuing its crackdown on prostitution, this time arresting a woman at an area hotel on Election Day on a charge of prostitution.
Amanda Huddleston, 23, was arrested at 6:07 p.m. Tuesday on a Class A misdemeanor charge following an undercover operation. The investigation was similar to the one last week in which six men were charged with patronizing a prostitute, Detective Tonda Cockrell said.
Officers conducting the undercover operation contacted Huddleston through an advertisement on an adult website.
Cockrell added that police will continue doing similar operations as complaints surface.
If convicted of the misdemeanor charge, Huddleston could face up to a year in jail.
The arrest marks the 10th arrest this year involving prostitution.
In August, police arrested three women on similar charges following an investigation.
