Rain postpones fireworks displays

Several events rescheduled for Sunday

Rain washed out several area fireworks displays Saturday night.

The following displays have been rescheduled for Sunday at dusk:

• Greentown, Howard County 4-H fairgrounds

• Peru, Maconaquah Park

• Walton, Walton Town Park

Kokomo Speedway is also planning to host a fireworks display at dusk, along with sprint cars, street stock and thunder cars.

The following displays are still planned as scheduled for Saturday at dusk:

• Burlington, Burlington Community Park

• Tipton, God Bless the USA SkyConcert, Tipton County 4-H Fairgrounds

    Chrysler Group LLC collectively has paid several million dollars extra to its hourly workers in Kokomo.

    Members of United Auto Workers received up to $1,500 each from their first profit-sharing bonuses since 2005, Rich Boruff, president of United Auto Workers Local 685, said Friday.
