Calendars featuring children who participate in Bona Vista Programs and animals from the Kokomo Humane Society are now available.
The two non-profits partnered on the Kokomo Kids and Critters calendar project, and they will split the proceeds 50-50.
“It was so much fun, and it’s been so neat to look at the results and look at our animals and our local kids,” said humane society director Jean McGroarty.
Each photo partners a child from a Bona Vista program with one of the humane society’s animals.
Since the photo shoot, McGroarty said, all the animals featured in the calendars have been adopted, some by the family’s involved with the calendar project.
Along with standard calendar events, such as holidays, the calendars also include dates for both organizations’ events and information about the groups.
The calendars are available at the humane society and Bona Vista’s locations, as well as their Web sites and several other Kokomo businesses. The calendars cost $15 each.
Brianne Boruff, vice president of public relations and development for Bona Vista, said several hundred calendars have sold so far, but there are plenty still available.
