WINDFALL – A six-month investigation resulted in the arrest of a Windfall man on felony drug charges, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday.
Travis M. Lange, 21, 700 block of Pearl Street, Windfall, remained in Tipton County Jail Monday on an $85,000 bond after officers arrested him late Saturday, jail officials said.
Deputies Scott Brumley and Travis Rhoades teamed up with Sharpsville Town Marshal Steve Cox in the investigation, which began after Windfall and Sharpsville residents began complaining about drugs in the area, according to the sheriff’s department.
The investigators teamed up with Windfall Town Marshal Ray Chapman and conducted a sting operation. The arrest resulted in the following preliminary charges for Lange:
• Dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance, Class B felony
• Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, Class D felony
• Possession of heroin, Class D felony
• Possession of a syringe, Class D felony
• Maintaining a common nuisance, Class D felony
There could be more arrests in the case, but there were none as of about 11:30 a.m. Monday, according to the jail.
