A Kokomo resident is behind bars in the wake of a car crash Wednesday afternoon, when Kokomo police said they found drugs in the man’s crashed vehicle.
Police said Harry B. Wisher, 29, was arrested after officers found two pounds of marijuana, $1,100 in cash and a small amount of heroin in his car, after he failed to negotiate a turn and struck a utility pole.
Police were called shortly after 4 p.m. to the scene of a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Markland Avenue and Washington Street. There were no injuries reported in the crash.
Wisher was taken to the Howard County Criminal Justice Center and faces preliminary felony charges of dealing marijuana, marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance. In addition, Wisher’s vehicle, a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, was seized as a result of the arrest.
Anyone having further information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Kokomo Police Department Hotline at 765-456-7017.
