Kokomo — John Joseph Moos, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital. John was born July 14, 1940, in Kokomo, to the late Jesse and Maxine Moos. On July 26, 1970, John married the former Jean J. Uhl in Kokomo, and she preceded him in death.

John worked at Cuneo Press for 20 years, then went to work at Opalescent Glass for more than 20 years. He had two main hobbies that he enjoyed: Antique cars and antique pocket watches. He also enjoyed watching old classic movies.

Survivors include two sons, John D. Moos and Michael C. Moos; two sisters-in-law, Joan Rouse and Jane Brooks, both of Kokomo; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judith Foughty and husband Russell, Kokomo; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John W. Uhl and wife Judy, Cromwell; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Maxine Moos; and his wife, Jean J. Moos.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the mortuary, with Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
