Rev. Pauline Esther Rupe

The Rev. Pauline Esther (Wirt) Rupe, 68, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at her home in Evergreen, Colo., after an inspiring four-year battle with cancer.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Aroma United Methodist Church in Aroma, with the Rev. Wayne Reece, a family friend from her childhood and Rev. Dick Judson, pastor of the Aroma Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Aroma Cemetery adjacent to the church. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home, 415 S. Anderson St., Elwood.

Memorial services will also be held for her in Evergreen, Colo., in January and Big Rapids, Mich., in the spring. Memorial gifts may be given in her memory to the Rupe Lectures on Faith and Work at Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich., or to the United Methodist Foundation of Michigan, Grand Rapids, MichNorma J. Hopper
