Kokomo —
Ronald H. Sorensen passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, after a battle with myasthenia gravis. He was born June 9, 1936, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Albert and Alice Sorensen. On Oct. 28, 1957, he married Patricia (Smith) Sorensen, and she survives.
He graduated from Chino High School in 1955. He worked at Ameron Steel in California and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved his family and his country very much, and you could always find a flag on him somewhere. He was a member of Chapel Hill Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Ronda (Todd) Fowler and Gina (Mary Borden) Sorensen; grandson, Benji (Leanne) Fowler; great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Fowler; brothers, Larry (Ellen) Sorensen and Jim Sorensen, California; brothers-in-law, Fred (Jean) Smith, Nevada, and Tom (Jennifer) Smith, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patty Pippen; and in-laws, Den and Marie Smith.
A service of remembrance will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Chapel Hill Church, with Pastor Steve Allen officiating.
Sunset Memory Garden assisted the family with arrangements.
