Frances Lee Craig, 88, Stuart, Fla., and formerly of Kokomo, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Palm City Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Bringhurst, the daughter of James A. and Emma B. (Foster) Pitzer. On May 6, 1967, she married Donald D. Craig, and he preceded her in death March 11, 1994. She also was preceded in death by her companion, John Pachmayr.
She was a homemaker and a 1942 graduate of Cutler High School. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Kokomo and in Herrin, Ill., Elks and Eagles, and was a staunch Democrat.
She is survived by a son, Terry L. Cage, Kokomo; three daughters, Karen Lasley, Kokomo, Cindy Chaplin, Stuart, Fla., and Dona Cohen, Indianapolis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; life companion, John M. Pachmayr; seven siblings; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Murray-Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston, with Dean Rodkey officiating. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery, Galveston. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
