Bonnie J. Carman

May 7, 1930 - March 15, 2013

— Bonnie J. Carman, 82, Burlington, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at her home. She was born May 7, 1930, in Frankfort, to Ora Gail and Tola (Sheets) Gray. On Sept. 5, 1946, she married Max Carman, and he passed away July 28, 2012.

Bonnie attended Frankfort High School and was co-owner of Carman Lounge & Restaurant in Rossville. She was a member of Burlington United Methodist Church. Bonnie and Max had been very active in the Burlington community with the Burlington Community Club. Bonnie loved baking, cooking, and brought a lot of recipes and family to Kristen Delights. She also taught oil painting classes for years at her home.

Survivors include her children, Nick (Marilyn) Carman, Fishers, Ron (Renita) Carman, Cutler, Tamie (Scott) Arnett, Cutler; grandchildren, Stacie Munger, Stephanie Woods, Kim Schone, Catressa Carman, Casey Carman, Kristen Miller, Craig Arnett, Kyle Arnett; five great-grandchildren and one due in October; and brother, Gilbert “Gib” Gray, Cutler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Tola Gray; husband, Max Carman; sister, Doris Skiles; brothers, Leon Gray and Bob Gray; one great-granddaughter, Delainey Taber.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Neptune Chapel, 44 Michigan St., Burlington, with Steve Cole and Mark Miller officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral services at Burlington Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society.
