Charles G. Newman

Charles G. Newman, 87, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at home. He was born on May 10, 1925, to Orval and Mattie (McFarland) Newman in Livonia, Mo.

Charles retired in 1988 from Indiana Gas Co. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of Noblesville Masonic Lodge; and was an avid lover of the guitar and country music.

He is survived by his wife, Claudelene “Dee” Maynard Newman; daughter, Patricia G. Tynes; stepdaughters, Brenda Rendell and Tammy Baldwin; stepsons, Larry Maynard and David Maynard; granddaughters, Stacy and Michelle; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gavin and Dakota.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Newman, who passed away in 2006.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with Capt. Harold R. Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Crownland Cemetery, Noblesville. Visitation was Wednesday at the funeral home.
