Virginia A. Bennett, 90, West Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly at 3:06 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at her residence. She was born July 20, 1922, in Kokomo, to the late Otto and Lavada Graham Bergman. On Nov. 2, 1946, she married Noah R. Bennett in Kokomo, where they lived until 1965, when they moved to West Lafayette. He died Feb. 15, 2010.
She graduated from Kokomo High School. Virginia was a homemaker and had enjoyed working at Loeb’s for several years during the holidays.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Quilt Guild there and enjoyed traveling. She loved her family, children and grandchildren, and had watched or cared for several relatives over the years.
Surviving are three sons, David W. Bennett (wife Connie), Mentor, Ohio, George A. Bennett (wife Dondra), Muncie, Mark S. Bennett (wife Billie), West Lafayette; three brothers, Roy Bergman (wife Annette), Kokomo, George Bergman, Peru, Ralph Bergman (wife Linda), Florida; and grandchildren, David Bennett (wife Melissa), Sarai Ann Hope (husband Mike) and their son Noah Hope, Rachel Bennett, Timothy A. Bennett (companion Christina Cawood) and their children Ian and Eli, Bethany Bennett, and William F. Bennett.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway W., West Lafayette, and again an hour before the funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1005 N. 21st St., Lafayette. Pastor David Doane will be officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.

George Frederick “Fred”Bagwell, 79, passed away at 11 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family. He is now at rest with his Heavenly Father, whom he loved and served. Fred was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Kokomo, to the late Emmett and Dorothy (Clark) Bagwell. He graduated from Kokomo High School.

Christine “Granny” “Mother Goose” Cornelia Ligon, 96, Kokomo, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Baron Plain, Tenn., the daughter of the late Tommy and Laura (Turner) King. On July 21, 1934, Christine married Timothy Calvin Ligon Jr. and they were happily married until his passing on Nov. 3, 1956.

Delores Mae Spicer, on May 16, 2013, at the age of 81, gently passed this life in her sleep and was reunited with her husband Jack Wayne Spicer Sr., her Heavenly Father, her Savior, and her beloved son Jerry Dana Spicer. Russena Lucile (Maudlin) Comer, 64, Kokomo, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1948, in Kokomo, the daughter of Russell F. and Gayle L. (Garrison) Maudlin. She married Kevin M. Comer Aug. 29, 1970, at Union Street Friends Church, and he survives.
