Ada Grace Keisling, 91, Kokomo, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at North Woods Village. Ada was born Nov. 21, 1920, in Mt. Ayr, to the late Frank and Grace Ringeisen. She was a graduate of Clay Township High School Class of 1938. Her marriage to Glen W. Keisling was on July 21, 1939, in Rochester. Glen preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1997.
Ada was a manager at Northwestern Jr. Sr. High School cafeteria from 1969 to 1970. She was also a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, being an active member of the choir, lay witness program, and Church Women United. After moving from the community she had changed membership to Alto United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included oil painting, crocheting and camping. She also enjoyed fishing and traveling. After retirement, she and Glen enjoyed wintering in North Fort Myers, Fla., for 15 years.
Surviving are three sons; Gary Keisling and wife Judy, Kokomo, Dale Keisling and wife Linda, Noblesville, Duane Keisling and wife Cheryl, Kokomo; one daughter, Lois Keisling, Edwardsburg, Mich.; grandchildren, Julie (Richard) Stauffer, Jennifer (Matthew) Benfield, Chris (Karen) Keisling, Walton, Amy (Steve) Pierce, New Albany, Ohio, Cara (Jon) Sweeney, Cranford, N.J., Monica (Thomas) Everett, Kokomo, Matthew (Kelly) Keisling, Greentown; 21 great-grandchildren, Jessica (David) Kassebaum, Jasper, Jonathan Keisling, Matteson Keisling, Austin Keisling, Anna Pierce, Sam Pierce, Charles Pierce, Jack Sweeney, Leo Sweeney, Owen Sweeney, Daniel Stauffer, Michael Stauffer, Joseph Stauffer, Maxwell Benfield, Jacob Benfield, Garrett Benfield, Nathan Everett, Megan Everett, Will Keisling, Reid Keisling and Mackenzie Keisling; two sisters, Dolly Pierce, Plainfield, Madonna Musselman, Logansport, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen W. Keisling; a granddaughter, Michelle (Keisling) Goodnight; two brothers, Everett Ringeisen, Gerald Ringeisen; and one sister, Leatha Young.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 5741 W. 100 North, Kokomo. Services will follow at 1 p.m. also at the church with Pastor Zach Washler officiating. Burial will take place in Shiloh Cemetery. Memorials in Ada’s memory may be made to the Shiloh Cemetery Association.
