Jim A. Onks

Kokomo — Jim A. Onks, 52, Rhome, Texas, formerly of Russiaville, passed away at 10:41 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur, Texas. He was born Nov. 9, 1960, in Kingsport, Tenn., to Donald Onks and Jane M. (Moore) Onks.

For several years he worked for Perlos and Nokia as a Quality Control Manager. He was currently owner and operator of Paintball Paradise in Rhome, Texas. Jim graduated from Western High School in 1978.

Survivors include his mother and father of Russiaville; son, Jordan Onks, Paradise, Texas; son, Nathan Onks, Paradise, Texas; son, Cameron Onks, Paradise, Texas; brother, Rick and wife Claire Onks, Cedar Park, Texas; sister, Lana and husband Jonathan Tolle, Clovis, N.M.; aunt, Nita Gillespie, Midway, Va.; two nieces; one nephew; three great nieces and one great nephew; and loving companion, Monica Enrriques, Rhome, Texas.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Judd and Ruby Moore; paternal grandmother, Faye Noe; uncle, Larry Moore; and a special cousin, Todd Gillespie.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., with Dr. G. Dennis McGuire officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, two hours prior to the service at the mortuary.
