Silas Wimmer, 43, Kokomo, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Golden Living Center-Sycamore Village. He was born on July 9, 1968, in Kokomo, to the late Robert and Betty (Miller) Wimmer.

Silas spent most of his life at Arcadia Developmental Center in Arcadia. The staff gave him much joy and loving care for many years. He enjoyed going on field trips, holiday festivals, watching Sponge Bob and playing with cars.

He is survived by a brother, Robert Wimmer; sisters, Diana Wimmer and Theresa (Dave) Massey; an aunt, Janet Frew; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Shirley and Stout Funeral Homes and Crematory, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Fred was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Kokomo, to the late Emmett and Dorothy (Clark) Bagwell. He graduated from Kokomo High School.

    Christine “Granny” “Mother Goose” Cornelia Ligon, 96, Kokomo, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Baron Plain, Tenn., the daughter of the late Tommy and Laura (Turner) King. On July 21, 1934, Christine married Timothy Calvin Ligon Jr. and they were happily married until his passing on Nov. 3, 1956.
