Dorthy J. Ingle, 92, Kokomo, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Waterford Place Health Campus, Kokomo. Born May 2, 1920 in Delmont, S.D., she is the daughter of the late Adolf Schaefer and Betty (Chasten) Schaefer. She married Elmer H. Ingle Nov. 22, 1940 in Kokomo. He preceded her in death April 28, 2010.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was also alongside her husband while he pastored at the Bible Holiness Church in Bluffton, for over 30 years.
Survivors include one son, Dick L. Ingle, Ft. Wayne; two daughters Rita (Ted) Baker, Wabash, and Sandy (Steve) Foster, Bluffton; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo. Pastor Don McDowell will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
