Ronald E. Browning Sr.

March 7, 1937 - Oct. 23, 2012

Walton — Ronald E. Browning Sr., 75, Walton, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru, with his family at his side.

Ron was born March 7, 1937, in Kokomo. He was the son of Floyd Browning and Opal Vaughn, who both precede him in death.

On Sept. 1, 1962, he married his best friend, C. Louise Woodke, Star City. They were married at the Helm Street Church of God in Logansport. She survives.

Ron retired in 1995 at the age of 58 from Delco Electronics in Kokomo with 32 years. He was a faithful blood donor who had 88 donations that totaled 11 gallons.

Ron liked to hunt. He enjoyed several trips out west hunting. Ron and Louise loved to travel. They enjoyed taking trips with the Good Timers, cruises, traveling to see the lighthouses and traveling out west in his motor home. Later, he enjoyed taking the granddaughters traveling and sightseeing in the motor home.

Ron loved being outdoors doing anything from yard work to playing over Annie with the granddaughters. Ron loved watching the deer and the birds in his backyard. But most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise Browning; son, Ronald Browning Jr., Middleberry; daughter, Lynette (Roger) Baber and their daughters, Natalie and Ashley Baber, Galveston; brother, Dale (Leona) Browning, Kokomo; sister, Karen Sue Browning, Kentucky; and daughter-n- law, Lisa Bruner Browning, Walton.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Browning; and a sister, Sharon Kay Browning.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel, Logansport, with Pastor Bill Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.
