David Eugene Pierce

Kokomo — David Eugene Pierce, 59, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in Kokomo. He was born on July 8, 1953, in Howard County, to Earl and Jacqueline (Walbrecht) Pierce.

David was a 1971 graduate from Haworth High School and was in the U.S. Navy until 1975. He enjoyed golf, baseball, the Cincinnati Reds and had recently spent a lot of time with his brother’s horses.

Surviving are his mother, Jacqueline Pierce; daughters, Jacqueline R. (Jessie) Myers, Jennifer R. (Greg) Parrish; brothers, Larry Pierce, R. Joseph Pierce, Daniel Pierce; grandchildren, Taylor Parrish, Hayley Parrish, Hunter Myers, Holden Myers, Ashlyn Parrish, Lucy Myers; several stepchildren and step-grandchildren from a previous marriage.

Preceding him in death were his father, Earl Pierce; brother, Earl Pierce Jr.; and stepdaughter, Dustina Foxx.

Memorial services will be at noon Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 414 W. Jefferson St., with Pastor Ron Hurlocker and Pastor Dave Boss officiating. Friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Marion National Cemetery.
