Richard “Rick” Lee Jameson, 60, Kokomo, died at 11:23 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital. Richard was born June 7, 1951, in Kokomo to the late John and Mabel Jameson (Crowder).
He worked at Delphi for 28 years before retiring. While in high school, Rick enjoyed and excelled at running track, winning many trophies and state tournaments. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, camping, working in the yard and enjoying the outdoors. Richard loved to travel and watching sports on TV, especially football and basketball. Rick was a very loving, very generous to anyone in need, and loved all his family with all his heart. Richard went in peace, is now resting with the Lord, and may he always be with us in spirit.
Beloved surviving family members include two daughters, Amber M. Jameson and husband John Blackburn and Sabrina Barnett-Jameson; two stepdaughters, Melissa and Jennifer Fisher; a brother, James (Carol) Jameson; a sister, Judy Tew; three grandchildren, Kevin Jameson, Kristopher Kanable and Keirsten Kanable; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mabel Jameson; his wife, Carol Jameson; two brothers, John Jameson Jr. and Ronnie Jameson; and a sister, Evalee Mathis.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. The funeral service is noon Friday at the mortuary, with Pastor Mike Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.
