MUNCIE - William H. “Bill” Wilson, 86, Muncie, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Westminster Village. He was born on July 7, 1926, in Muncie, the son of Kenneth and Lillian Wilson. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Bill received a Purple Heart for his service on Iwo Jima.
Bill was a member of Local Union #103 Operating Engineers since 1946, a 50-year member of Delaware Masonic Lodge #46 and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis. He was also a member of First Baptist Church and attended Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his two daughters, Judith Anne Cameron (husband, Richard), Kokomo, and Becky Jo Smith (husband, Ron), Muncie; four grandchildren, Michael R. Cameron, Terre Haute, Amy Jo Quarles, Kokomo, Andrew R. Smith (wife, Karen), Lislie, Ill., and Suzanne M. Batdorff (husband, Dan), Ossian; eight great-grandchildren, Hailey Quarles, Megan Quarles, Liam Smith, Cassidy Smith, Declan Smith, Keagan Smith, Emma Batdorff and Morgan Batdorff; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Emmajean Schooley (husband, Jim), Mooresville; a half brother, Ray Stafford of Palatine, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Wilson, Pensacola, Fla., and Jo Ann Boltz, Muncie. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and his dog, Tugger.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marjorie L. “Dixie” Wilson in 2011; his parents; and a brother, Kenneth Wilson Jr.
Services will be at noon Monday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie with Military Rites by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Veterans of Delaware County. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Monday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.

Denver R. Walker, 61, Kokomo, formerly of Ridge Farm, Ill., passed away at 6:38 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Century Villa Health Care. He was born Nov. 1, 1951, in Danville, Ill., the son of Denver Ralph and Sarah (Walthall) Walker. On June 7, 1997, he married Cynthia L. “Cindy” Hultz from Veedersburg, and she survives him.

George Frederick “Fred”Bagwell, 79, passed away at 11 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family. He is now at rest with his Heavenly Father, whom he loved and served. Fred was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Kokomo, to the late Emmett and Dorothy (Clark) Bagwell. He graduated from Kokomo High School.

Christine “Granny” “Mother Goose” Cornelia Ligon, 96, Kokomo, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Baron Plain, Tenn., the daughter of the late Tommy and Laura (Turner) King. On July 21, 1934, Christine married Timothy Calvin Ligon Jr. and they were happily married until his passing on Nov. 3, 1956.

Delores Mae Spicer, on May 16, 2013, at the age of 81, gently passed this life in her sleep and was reunited with her husband Jack Wayne Spicer Sr., her Heavenly Father, her Savior, and her beloved son Jerry Dana Spicer.
