Wilfred Tull, 84, Kokomo, passed away peacefully at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born Jan. 28, 1926, to Hazel and Levi Tull in Kokomo. On Dec. 16, 1950, he married his loving wife, Delores (Shaffer), and she survives.

“Wiff” was a longtime Kokomo resident and well-known local musician and piano technician. He was a member of the Kokomo Music Club, “Huggin Club,” past officer in the local musicians union, and a 50-year life member of the local Moose Lodge. He loved his family, friends, music, fishing and the occasional card game (he always played with a marked deck).

Survivors include his son, Thomas Tull and wife Mitzi, Mont Belvieu, Texas; grandson, Jay Foster and wife Amber, also of Mont Belvieu, Texas; and great-granddaughter, Baylee Jay Foster, who pretty much goes wherever she wants. He was also very close to his sister, Ruby McLay, and Aunt Jane Smith, both of Kokomo, who also survives. Sisters-in-law Mary Jane Cardwell, Connie Hinkle and Diane Shaffer also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ivelou Brownlee and Ruth Wright; and close friend and brother-in-law, Robert Shaffer, Appling, Ga.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with the Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the mortuary.
