Richard Earl Holt, 70, of Kingman and formerly of Michigantown, passed away at 4:07 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012. He was born July 22, 1942, to the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Anna (Rice) Holt. He married Betty (Grider) Holt on Aug. 6, 1960, in Crawfordsville.
Richard attended Darlington schools, worked for Chrysler Corp. for 30 years as a machine repairman, and then started his own family-owned and operated welding machine and overhaul shop.
His hobbies included being a machinist and fabricator, building houses and shops, restoring antique cars and tractors, building and collecting hit-n-miss engines and playing the banjo, guitar and mandolin.
He was a 32nd degree master mason of Masonic Lodge No. 82 and a member of the Eastern Star Lodge, both in Russiaville. He belonged to the Florida Flywheelers Antique Engine Club, Cowboy Christian Group, and was a member and deacon at the Kingman Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Grider) Holt, Kingman; sons, Richard (Carol) Holt, New Ross, Wayne (Marta) Holt, Noblesville, Kevin (Janelle) Holt, Tipton; daughters, Terri (Glynn) Power, Evansville, Amy (James) Rawlinson, Cicero, Michelle Holt, Moline, Ill.; brothers, Frank (Jerry) Holt, Linden, Wesley (Priscilla) Holt, Murray, Ky., Carl Holt, LaPorte; sister, Dottie Caskey, Texas; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Elizabeth Anna Holt; sisters, Mary Rose, Viegie, and Thelma; and a great-grandchild, Brody Power.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Kingman Christian Church, 123 W. Ind. 234 in Kingman, with Pastor Coy Overpeck officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingman Christian Church.

Denver R. Walker, 61, Kokomo, formerly of Ridge Farm, Ill., passed away at 6:38 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Century Villa Health Care. He was born Nov. 1, 1951, in Danville, Ill., the son of Denver Ralph and Sarah (Walthall) Walker. On June 7, 1997, he married Cynthia L. “Cindy” Hultz from Veedersburg, and she survives him.

Fred was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Kokomo, to the late Emmett and Dorothy (Clark) Bagwell. He graduated from Kokomo High School.

Christine “Granny” “Mother Goose” Cornelia Ligon, 96, Kokomo, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Baron Plain, Tenn., the daughter of the late Tommy and Laura (Turner) King. On July 21, 1934, Christine married Timothy Calvin Ligon Jr. and they were happily married until his passing on Nov. 3, 1956.

Delores Mae Spicer, on May 16, 2013, at the age of 81, gently passed this life in her sleep and was reunited with her husband Jack Wayne Spicer Sr., her Heavenly Father, her Savior, and her beloved son Jerry Dana Spicer.
