Anna Mary (Cage) Weber, 89, Kokomo, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Renaissance Village in Fort Wayne. She was born March 28, 1923, to the late Roma and Lula (Jarrett) Cage in Sharpsville.

She attended Sharpsville schools and graduated in 1941. In 1942, she attended the Approved University of Beauty Culture in Indianapolis. After graduation she worked as a manicurist for L.S. On June 4, 1946, Anna married Arnold J. “Arnie” Weber, and they made their home in Tipton. Arnie preceded Anna in death on May 18, 1994.

Anna was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, a local study club, the Kokomo Travel Club and the Kokomo Country Club. She enjoyed the Kokomo concerts and the Indianapolis Symphony. As a teenager, Anna’s most favorite things to do were to work in the fields with her father, ice skate, roller skate and jitterbugging.

Anna is survived by her children, Terry Weber, Fort Myers, Fla., and Ellen (Kent) Pyle, Fort Wayne; her grandchildren, Ashley Weber, T.A. (Heather) Weber, Teni (Josh) Helmberger and Taylor, Colin and Evan Pyle; her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Natalie, Kelsey and Maggie Weber and Halle, A.J. and Allaina Helmberger. There will be a Mass of Christian burial for Anna at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 S. 200 West, with Father Theodore Dudzinski celebrating. After the Mass, we will be taking Anna to her final resting place in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. You are invited to join Anna’s family for a time of visitation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that same day, also at the church.

Contributions can be made in Anna’s memory to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home of Fort Wayne. In closing, Anna’s family would like to leave you with a prayer that was prayed by Anna on a daily basis: “Dear God, wrap your arms around me, hold me close and kiss me on my forehead. Keep me safe and protect my family.”
