David E.J. Hall

David E.J. Hall, 27, Kokomo, passed away at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health. He was born April 15, 1985, in Vero Beach, Fla.

David attended Western High School. He worked in construction around Kokomo in several capacities. He also worked as a tool repairman on power tools for the last couple years. He loved music, football and playing golf. He was a very kind and loving person, always willing to give the shirt off of his back. He thoroughly enjoyed his family. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his mother, Carol Ann Hall, Kokomo; one sister, Sarah Lynn Hall, Kokomo; uncle, Jerry (Linda) DeVee, Naperville, Ill.; Bob DeVee, Kokomo; cousins, Sergeant David DeVee, Fort Campbell, Ky., Dannielle (Josh) (DeVee) Obenchain, Fort Bliss, Texas, Ben and Jolena DeVee, Naperville, Ill.; several other cousins; and special friend, Rodger Smith, Kokomo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wesley and Dorothy DeVee.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with Uncle Jerry McVee officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions in memory of David may be made to the American Cancer Society.
