Debbie M. Helder

Nov. 13, 1963 - Feb. 6, 2013

Debbie M. Helder, 49, Kokomo, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in her home. She was born in Albuquerque, N.M., Nov. 13, 1963, to the surviving Anthony and Evelyn (Baudaillier) Kunczt.

Debbie graduated from Maconaquah High School in 1981, was a member of the Honor Society and Bible Club, and then continued her education at IUK.

On March 10, 1984, Debbie married Randy Helder at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Peru, and he survives.

Debbie was a member of Brookside Free Methodist Church, where she served as the event coordinator and church secretary. She also served as the secretary at Trinity Wesleyan Church, where she taught preschool. She was a loving mother, sister and daughter, and a devoted wife. Above all else, Debbie was very strong in her faith.  

Debbie is survived by her husband, Randy Helder; her four children, Laura (Mike) Cross, Amy, Kenny and Jeff Helder; three grandchildren, Josiah, Alex and Nicole Cross; her parents, Anthony and Evelyn Kunczt; her siblings, Mike, Chris and Belinda Kunczt; and nine nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral service for Debbie at 3 p.m. Sunday at Brookside Free Methodist Church, 190 E. 400 South, with Pastor Doug Benham officiating. All of Debbie’s friends and family are welcome to join together for a time of visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, also at the church, and an hour prior to the funeral on Sunday.

Contributions can be made in Debbie’s memory to the Brookside Free Methodist Church. Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo, IN assisted the family with arrangements.
