Joyce L. Brown, 71, Galveston, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2013, Woodbridge Health Care Center in Logansport. She was born May 12, 1941, in Kokomo to Chester and Phoebe (Arion) Brittain. She was married in 1972 to Ron G. Brown.
She was a homemaker and a member of East Main Street Church of God, Logansport. She enjoyed her pets.
Surviving are her husband, Ron Brown, Galveston; daughters, Linda Pense, Logansport, and Kim (Randy) Cooper, Mooresville; brother, Chester L. (Becky) Brittain, Kokomo; grandchildren, Rachael Wines, Plainfield, Ashley (Matt) Anderson, Mooresville, Elizabeth and Rochelle Pense, Logansport; great-grandchildren, Chole Mynatt, Emma Mynatt and Brody Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sue Hollingsworth.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Murray-Weaver Funeral Home, Galveston, with Bill Heinzman officiating. Burial will be in Musselman Cemetery, Flora. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Galveston.
