Richard T. Bauman

Nov. 4, 1941 - Nov. 25, 2012

Kokomo — Richard T. Bauman, 71, East Moline, Ill., died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at his home.  

Memorial services are 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. A memorial fund has been established.

Richard was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Kokomo, the son of Louis and Louella (Howell) Bauman. He married Lana Jean Sanders on Feb. 3, 1990, in Rock Island.  

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Bauman was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Lana; children (spouses), Lori Sue Bauman, Richard S. Bauman, both of Aurora, Ill., Vicki (Shane) Spencer, Everly, Iowa, and Jennifer (Jon) Smith, Geneseo, Ill.; four grandchildren, whom he adored; his sister, Joyce (Mark) Perkins, College Station, Texas; and his ex-wife and friend, Margaret Bauman, Aurora, Ill.
